Group swim lessons run Monday through Friday, with each session including five 45-minute classes, held rain or shine. To enroll, your child must be a pool member and registration is available through the CivicRec catalog. Register in April to secure the Early Bird Rate of $50 per weekly session. After May 1st, the Regular Rate of $75 per session applies. Enrollment is limited and granted on a first-come, first-served basis. With about four instructors per group, your child will receive continuous engagement throughout the week.

Toddler: Introduction to the water; Mommy/Daddy & me-type of class Recommended Age: 1-3 Meeting Area: TOT Section
Lesson Benchmarks:
Get comfortable in the water, blow bubbles, kick on bellies, move arms in the water, and attempt to float on backs.
To build confidence in the water, swim with face submerged, swim with arms out of the water, and to float/kick on backs.
Swim I: Focuses on independent swimming Recommended Age: 5-8 Meeting Area: Island Section
Lesson Benchmarks:
Continue to build confidence in the water, swim with face submerged and arms out of the water, swim to the island without stopping, begin to learn backstroke, improve treading in deep water, and introduce diving.
Swim II:Improve fundamental skills Recommended Age: 5-10 Meeting Area: Far End (Lap Lane Section)
Lesson Benchmarks:
Build confidence and independent deep water swimming, learn the proper breathing technique of freestyle, complete an entire lap without stopping, improve backstroke skills, and more diving techniques.
Note: Instructors can make recommendations to move your child into a different level during or after the first day of class (they will be sure to speak to you directly first)
